Doll #4: Dani

Image
My fourth doll was Dani, a 'my american girl' #49. She was the first doll I got when I started watching doll videos on youtube and I was completely obsessed with her. I got her in the summer of 2010 when I was 12 years old and picking her out at the store is one of my favorite memories of all time.  I had fallen in love with her a month before I bought her, when I passed by a display of her. Her eyes caught my attention immediately because they contrasted her skin and hair so well.  My parents were really confused when I told them I wanted another doll, but that's pretty understandable considering I hadn't mentioned dolls in over three years. I'm actually planning on making a post on how to explain to your friends/family that you want to get back into buying and collecting dolls soon, so stay tuned for that! I saved up for a month and then was able to go pick out the perfect doll at the store. To this day, she's one of my favorite dolls and I definitely think t

Doll #3: Nicki

So doll number 3 in my collection was Nicki Flemming, Girl of the Year 2007. I got her for Christmas in 2007 after wanting her all year and begging for her nonstop. I loved her caramel hair and her dog Sprocket because at the time I had caramel hair and a huge dog too.  Nicki was the last doll that I got as a 'child', but I was so happy with her that she seemed like the perfect stopping point for my collection at the time.  A fun fact about my childhood collection is that shortly after getting Nicki, I got a very old american girl doll at a garage sale. I'm pretty sure she was a truly me #3 but I decided to sell her to my cousin a couple years later so I had enough money to buy Dani. I don't regret selling her, but I'd be lying if I said there wasn't a part of me that wants to find a better condition truly me #3 again someday.... I have a problem clearly. Anyway, here's Nicki looking all cute in her pigtails!

Doll #2: Alex

My second ever doll I got was Alex, a Just Like You (Truly Me) 22. I vividly remember being on the way home from going to see Cars in the movie theater and looking at an AG catalogue. I remember looking at the Just Like You page and seeing the new outfits and how the newest doll (#27) had pierced ears and layered hair, and trying to decide if I wanted her or 22. I was drawn to Alex because of her platinum blonde, flippy hair and her light blue eyes. So that year I asked for her for Christmas and the rest is history. 22 is a very understated doll but one that I've always had a soft spot for.  A random fun fact about Alex is that her original name was Hilary after Hilary Duff. I was obsessed with the Lizzie McGuire movie and all things Hilary Duff. Eventually she became Alexandria after the city in Egypt, and Alex for short. For a very brief time in 2010 her name was Nemo (no clue why) before it went back to Alex, and it's stayed that way ever since.

Doll #1: Marisol

So something I've always thought would be fun (but far too frustrating to try and make a video about) is making posts about each of my dolls. Considering there's now over 60 of them, this should be very interesting. The first few will be longer, but as I get further into my collection, there's less story about each one.  So to kick off this very long posting series, we are going to start with my very first American Girl Doll, Marisol.  My grandma has always loved dolls and as I am her only granddaughter, she had always hoped I would as well. Luckily for her, I do. Unfortunately for her, I was not a fan of porcelain dolls or barbies, which were her first attempts. By the time I was 6 years old, she had decided her next try would be American Girl Dolls, although my mom wasn't too thrilled with the idea of me having a hundred dollar doll.  My grandma signed me up for the AG catalogue in 2005 and within the first five minutes of the mail showing up that very first time, I

Welcome to my blog!

Hey Guys!! I decided that I wanted to start a blog, mostly since it's been hard for me to keep up with videos lately and I still wanted to share updates with you all (instagram stresses me out too much). I absolutely love writing, whether it's a short story, a song, or just random lists, so I felt a blog would be perfect for me! I'm planning on posting here at least a few times a week, and uploading pictures of each and every one of my dolls.  I've been in the process of remodeling my future house for the last couple of months, and unfortunately that meant no time for creating content. I actually would have been celebrating my 1 year on AGtube in May but I wasn't around for that. Next year for sure though!  Most of my dolls have been packed away and are actually already waiting in my new doll room! The exciting news is that I am likely going to have my doll room set up and ready to go within the next couple of weeks and I will be back in full force. I have a few ne
